My first "radio" interview

Friday, July 11, 2008

Last week, I would receive an email from a Randy that I thought was Randall, who imports Marsecco and other Castle of Dracula wines. It was in regards to participating in a radio show. Happily accepting, the call took place last Wednesday and lasted an hour.

The theme was on ethnic marketing [of wine], which is something that I believe should be done, and is needed in a responsible manner, unlike those commercials that we have seen over the years for Colt 45 and Red [and Blue] Bull.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
