Chocolate has been added to the tasting on the 19th!!!

I was the Chocolate Show in NY on Saturday to meet the owners of Quady winery (three of their delectable wines will be featured during the tasting), when by extension I met Bernard Duclos, the CEO for North America of Republica Del Cacao chocolates.

Since Quady was about the only winery there at the show, and their samples were literally being gulped down by the thousands (trust me I know, I stood in and poured for a little more than an hour), they engaged Quady to participate in their 4:30 demonstration, as well as dropped off some chocolate for the Quady folks as well.  Later on, I approached their table to let them know that I was doing a wine tasting featuring Quady wines, and that I'd be interested in providing some samples of their chocolate as well.  As luck would have it, Bernard was a few steps away and we struck up a conversation and a nice connection.  He has donated a box of their Single Origin dark chocolate, and chef Fritz Knipschildt of Knipschildt Chocolatier in Norwalk, CT also gave me one of his recipes.
